How to convert images without uploading them anywhere

July 2, 2026 · 3 min read

Most online converters upload your file to their server, convert it there, and keep who-knows-what. There's a better way: modern browsers can do the conversion locally, so the file never leaves your machine.

Step by step

  1. 1Open the File Converter and drop, browse, or paste (Ctrl+V) your images — several at once is fine.
  2. 2Choose the output format: PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP, or PDF.
  3. 3Convert, then download files individually or all together as a ZIP.

Which format should I pick?

WebP for the web (smallest at the same quality, keeps transparency). PNG for screenshots, logos and anything you'll edit again (lossless). JPG for photos going to places that don't accept WebP. PDF to bundle several images into one shareable document.

Because it all runs in your browser, there are no upload limits, no queues, and nothing to leak.
