How to make a QR code for a link, Wi-Fi network or contact

A QR code is just text encoded into squares — the trick is formatting that text so phones know what to do with it. The generator handles that for you.

Step by step

1. 1Open the QR Code Generator and pick the type: Link, Text, Wi-Fi, Email, SMS, Phone, or Location.
2. 2Fill in the fields — for Wi-Fi that's the network name, password and security type; guests then join by scanning instead of typing.
3. 3Style it if you like: foreground/background colours and the quiet zone.
4. 4Download PNG for screens and social, or SVG for print — vector stays sharp at any size.

Making sure it scans

Keep strong contrast between the two colours (dark on light scans best). If the code will be printed small or partially covered by a logo, raise error correction to High — the code gets denser but survives more damage.
